Since then, she has been passionate about the visual arts, especially contemporary imagery. In Maria's painting there are many influences, which can range from pop art to expressionism. He takes as his main, even recurring motif, the great icons of the 20th century, portraits of famous men and women that he reworks with color. In her iconography and her vocabulary of celebrities, Maria De Campos wants to break the clichés that everyone can have about her personality. The faces are treated with melancholy and poetry, hidden behind raw colors and fragments of text. The paintings are undeniably contemporary and current.
