LAURENCE LITOMI

Head in the stars and feet anchored in the ground, she dreams of being an air traffic controller and brilliantly passes the ENAC entrance exam in Toulouse. Living away from loved ones is not an option for those who place family above everything else. The young girl then began studying optics and optometry in Marseille. She does not yet realize that the eye is intrinsically linked to art - would the work exist without the viewer's gaze? – and that his destiny is elsewhere. The collages she made from photos from fashion magazines to showcase the brands of glasses she sold in her shop in Aix were quickly more successful than the frames! In 2001, Laurence Litomi decided to devote herself entirely to her passion for art.

The studious by nature, perfectionist and meticulous then tries all the disciplines that the visual arts offer: photography, drawing, painting, sculpture, pottery, digital art.

She is a professor of Japanese painting who will nevertheless mark her style by making her discover colors and their harmonies. Two to three times a week for more than three years, the two women set up their easels in nature and tirelessly paint all the chromatic nuances.

When Laurence Litomi returns to her first love of photography and imagines its projection on metal, she turns to natural pigments to be able to create her own colors and achieve the perfect match. The good student does not hide a rock'n'roll side that she expresses in irreverent color combinations that give her portraits all their emotional power.

His favorite characters are Steve McQueen, Mick Jagger, Karl Lagerfeld, Marylin Monroe, Jack Nicholson, Angelina Jolie. She also creates works from anonymous photographs from her own collection and special orders from clients.
